My dad was a musician. He favored rhythm instruments - drums, piano and guitar (I suppose that's where I get it.) He raised me on roots music and he always wanted me to sing, but, well, I wasn't all that easy to get along with when I was a kid...I finally started singing when I got a bad, bad case of the blues and went looking for the cure. Loretta Lynne James Band.
Introducing Comfort and Control. Anyone can grab a hacksaw, cut a piece of pipe, chrome it if they are willing and call it a slide. At RockSlide we are bit more creative utilizing technology and a $400,000 Swiss screw machine to manufacture the most ergonomic slide for the human hand.
This is a great way for any guitarist to gain skills for a few bucks over the Internet. You can choose to learn from video lessons from the world's top guitarists - or focus by type of technique (e.g. tunings, scales, method, etc.). My first lesson was on pedals presented by Joe Bonamassa. Yes ... Blues guys DO use pedals!

The innovative JetSlide™ guitar slide allows you to play slide guitar licks, while retaining full use of your fretting fingers for playing normal guitar chords and solos. JetSlide guitar slides work equally well on electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and resonator guitars.

I remember catching Damon Fowler (right) a few years ago. After just a couple of minutes I knew this guy was the real deal. Recently signed with a label, we'll see where Damon goes with it, but anyplace he plays, it's worth the price of admission. This guy is one to watch.

The Blues Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. With over 100 affiliated Blues organizations, and membership spanning twenty-four countries, the Foundation serves as the umbrella organization for the worldwide resurgence in Blues Music.
I met Al Fuller at one of the blues jams he hosts at the 5 O'clock Club in Sarasota. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and a very smooth, seasoned performer .. backed up by a great rhythm section. Head down any Monday night and introduce yourself, help probably offer to lend you his Strat if you don't have a guitar with you and you want to play!

Each issue is packed with artist profiles, interviews, album Revues, and columns by the most respected writers on today's blues scene.
I love the way these guys sound, really electric and upbeat! Nice to hear the passion and commitment to the music! Check out samples of this band's CD!
